Wedding Cupcakes!

I decided to make some simple and pretty cupcakes that would be perfect for a wedding!  While giving these out, I got a pretty good compliment.  "You know when cupcakes look really good, but taste bad?  Well these ain't them!"

Toronto Raptors Cupcakes

This week... Toronto Raptors cupcakes.  These took a very, very, very long time.  My fine motor skills were really put to the test.  All of the cupcake toppers are made out of fondant.  I used an edible black marker for the details.  I am extremely happy with how these turned out- much better than what I expected.  I knew I wanted to do something with sports.  I had originally planned to do an assortment of basketballs, tennis balls, baseballs... but then... I decided to challenge myself, and I'm glad I did.

Very Random Sugar Cookies

To take a break from cupcakes, I decided to bake some sugar cookies.  This is the first time baking sugar cookies that were not for a holiday.  I had no idea what to do.... hence why these cookies are very random!  As I had to bake a bunch, I went with simple and colourful : )  Not my best work, but I'll accept it.  

I did take the time on a few of them.  I still wanted some to look pretty.

A New Take on Spring Colours

Walking by Williams Sonoma, I saw a beautiful display of colours that became my inspiration for my Easter cupcakes.  Nothing much to say about these cupcakes.... they looked pretty and I was happy : ) 
You'll notice I took most of the photos outside (on top of the car to be exact). 
It was my first attempt making roses.  For my first attempt, I think I did alright.
